Testimonials:
"Damien's photography course was one of the best investments I've ever made! His explanations of complicated concepts really helped them sink in, and the practical photography sessions let me grasp how to understand my camera and manipulate the right parameters to get the best exposure in all different field conditions. The quality of my photographs has definitely increased after finishing the course, and I'm a lot more confident in my nature photography skills. I wish I'd had the opportunity to take Damien's photography course years ago!"
-Hannah
"I've been meaning to take a photography course for years and I'm so glad I took this one - it was perfect for me! I can finally stop using the 'auto' mode on my camera and have proper control over the photos I'm taking. Damien is an exceptional photographer, but also a fantastic teacher, so I now have a much better understanding of the technical aspects of photography which has improved my photos so much. Invaluable!"
-Frances
"I really enjoyed the NatureLab workshop. It was a good balance of theory & practical tips to improve my fairly basic knowledge & skills. The small class size was excellent. Damien was very generous & thoughtful in the way he shared his experience & endeavoured to transfer his knowledge, making the students feel comfortable to ask questions when they weren't sure of things (which in my case was often). Damien's passion for photography was inspiring & infectious. The workshop has reinvigorated my love of photography & I look forward to using my new skills to take better photos in the near future."
-Janet
"Damien's workshop teaches the physics and technicalities of photography in details while making all of that directly relevant to be efficient on the field and while communicating his excitement for wildlife encounters. After this workshop I feel definitely more in control of my camera, of what my pictures look like, and more eager to go to the field and practice."
-Tim
“Damien is a passionate and knowledgable photographer, and gave a fantastic course. I had lots of fun, learned a tonne, feel much more technically confident, and I'm very inspired to get my camera out more often! I would absolutely recommend doing a photography course with Damien.”
-Zoe

“I like photography, but I never thought about investing my time and money to really learn how to photograph. After I participated in Damien’s workshop I found myself thinking about spending a day in the park looking for interesting subjects, different angles and comparing different exposures. Damien is passionate about nature photography and a really good teacher, patient and willing to help. I totally recommend his workshop!”
-Jessica
"Damien's workshop is a wonderful, concise introduction to the more advanced aspects of nature photography. Damien's presentation of the theory underlying photography was easy to follow, and was well reinforced by the interspersed quick practical exercises, and by a full-day practical session. His introduction to developing raw images was similarly well explained, and has convinced me to shoot in raw in future!"
-Kevin
"I absolutely loved the workshop, both the theoretical part and the hands-on session at the Botanic Gardens. Damien is a very passionate photographer and although I knew the concepts of focal length, depth of field, shutter speed etc. he brought everything to life in terms of applications, difficult light settings and especially for generating creative images. I wholeheartedly recommend this course to anyone who is enthusiastic about photography and wants to learn more about producing stunning images."
